engraved in my heart today and always...

i am not in control

i must trust and have faith 

not allowing strong winds to disturb my core

there is more than i can see going on here 

embracing each day, each moment, each memory

i am remaining open...

a few weeks before my grandmothers first chemo treatment we were sitting together, chatting and sipping on tea.... she took my breath away because of her beauty. just look at her!

the day before her first chemo treatment we celebrated life and whats to come while visiting the zoo, grabbing a bite to eat and attending a choir concert.  friendship and blessings swirled around my grandmother...  when we walked into the chapel two of her neighbors wrapped their arms around her and after listening to the sweet voices of the Avondale Children's Choir and watching the talented and entertaining Mark Green, director of the choir i literally watched my grandmothers spirit lift up and touch the heavens.  i knew then that she was more ready to put up one heck of a fight.

a memory that my children and i will always cherish!!!!  

at the start of the day my grandmother was glum, but as the day went on she became playful and joyous.  grateful!
